Children's Ministry

"Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Luke 18:15-17

Jesus loved children. The extent to which Jesus cared for children astounded even His disciples. We pray and labor that children would come to Jesus and grow in Him at Harvest.

Our children's ministry runs simultaneous with our worship service. It includes a welcome and craft time, singing, Scripture memory, Bible teaching always pointing to Jesus, a small group application time with games and crafts, and concludes with a "blessing" time of encouragement and joy.

We also equip our parents with weekly and monthly resources which precede and coincide with the children's curriculum.

Check-in/Check-out Procedure: Parents must check children into Higher Ground at the check-in table. There they will receive a"Care tag set"of 3 corresponding number tags. One is placed on the child's shirt, one is given to the volunteer, and the last tag the parent keeps. The parent must also fill out a check-in sheet with contact information and child's brief medical history (allergies, special needs, etc.). After service, parent must present corresponding tag to volunteer at check-in table so child(ren) can be released to parent.
