You won't represent yourself in God's court

Posted by Mike Willis on Thursday, June 25, 2009.
At the end of your life, God the Father will need to hear a declaration.  Not from you (you'll be on your face in worship), but from God the Son declaring you as one of His own disciples.  You won't represent yourself in God's courtroom.  There is a court-appointed representative: Jesus.  Will Jesus claim you as His own?

Matthew 7:23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you, depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'"

Even if you're a good person, doing good, non-evil things, you remain a worker of lawlessness apart from Christ who makes you holy before God.

Don't be fooled by the country songs and dramatized movie bright-lighted-tunnels of entering heaven by any other standard than Christ.  You can't argue this case with God's Words in Scripture.  God never spoke of any way other than His plan: Jesus.

Trust Jesus and live for Him.  Spread this message.
