Perhaps you think it's too late. So familiar with your own regrets and
sins, you assume God's grace cannot reach you. Afraid of the work it
might take to redirect life, you remain indirect in your pursuits,
although you know, deep down, living for God is why you and everyone
else was created. These thoughts are understandable and a really good
sign because you realize the weight of sin and your own inability. You
realize your need for God far beyond your own capability.

Chapters like Luke 15: 11-32 (the prodigal son) and verses like Joel 2:25 ("I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten") relieve us that God can reach us regardless. Knowing this, however, we must go ahead and turn to God rather than continuing down the road of regret playing God's grace for a later date.
God's grace is never, ever minimal. The greatest expression of His grace is Jesus. Accept it, wash yourself in it, and live for Him.
