Wrecking balls are used to tear down what must be rebuilt or restored or never to exist again. I should welcome one. You should welcome one.
Let's face it ... we all have things in shambles, with a wooden sign hanging from them with the letters, "C-O-N-D-E-M-N-E-D". Let's let the Lord wreck them ... whether poor disciplines, poor communication, bad habits, excuses that have become truths, etc., they should be dealt with and their absence will feel good sooner than you think. What replaces the massive hole? That is just as important as tearing it down. God's truth and instruction is the answer.
"Do not despise the Lord's discipline, for the LORD reproves the son in whom he delights." Proverbs 3:11-12
What? Yeah, God delights in strengthening us by tearing down worthless parts of us. When we start applying verses like this, wisdom and fruitfulness are the new materials with which God builds us. We should welcome God's discipline. After all, a disciple of Christ is disciplined by Him.
