The Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel North Raleigh (me) has very little technical skills :). I can do some meager things such as type within documents and send and receive email, but only if these does not include troubleshooting. Praise the Lord the He has provided Harvest North Raleigh with men and women who have some serious skills on the technical side of things and that they love serving in this way!
Thanks to a few of the many great people we have at Harvest like David McWilliams, Jason Kennedy, James Davidson, Reid Dorsett and Jeff Cash, we now have the sermons Podcasted! The link to the Podcast so you can subscribe (free) is here.
I am a big fan of the Podcast. I enjoy listening to brothers-in-Christ preach the Word ... brothers who live in different states or even different countries. Plus, podcasting is easy enough for me. I simply hit the 'Subscribe' button, plug in my iPod, and I've got quick access to God's Word proclaimed. I've been known to run while listening to sermons, drive while listening to sermons (much more common), or relax on the deck while listening to sermons. I suggest the same for each of you. Hide God's Word in your heart. Memorize Scripture and listen to Scripture so you can apply it. Staying focused on God's Word should be as frequent to us staying hydrated.
Plus, this type of technology is a means for us to 'spread the Word' overseas on the world wide web. Exciting, huh? Spread the Word!
If you ever would like the sermon outline or small group questions, they accompany each sermon on this website. The small groups at Harvest discuss the same passage from God's Word that I preach each Sunday morning. This helps us take the application of God's Word to the next level: we discuss it within community, encourage one another to apply it through stories and laughter and prayer, and this means that we are much less likely to ever forget it! Amen! Use these resources toward spiritual strength with your spouse, your kids, your friends, your neighbors, your classmates, and whoever else you can think of!
