Vanessa and I had the privilege of spending the weekend with my sister and her husband, David, who flew here from Raleigh. They are already committed to the core team and are brimming with ideas within their area of expertise (web design, simplicity, functionality, and ease as well as publicity ideas, etc). It is such a blessing to observe how the Lord is bringing people together to accomplish His work! It is thoroughly exciting and I am blessed to be a part of it!
We had a lot of fun together taking the train to downtown Chicago twice, seeing the sights, walking miles and miles, and running into an old friend at Millennium Park from the YMCA in Raleigh! We all worshiped at Harvest's Rolling Meadows campus on Saturday night and Vanessa and I gave them a tour of the Elgin campus building (where I spend my time) on Monday. We ate Chicago deep dish twice and we took great joy in treating them to what I knew would be one of Katie's favorite pizzas ever: stuffed with cheese!
We had a great weekend!
