Expect God

Posted by Mike Willis on Thursday, June 11, 2009.

We're planting a church.  There is financial cost.  The idea of spending money on a place for our core group to meet was an unwanted option.  We've been praying boldly for a new place that can hold our growing core group.

By God's grace, we have been given a free place to meet which should hold us for the remainder of core group phase before the church is publically launched!  Alta Oakridge, an independent living community, has generously offered us their space.

Now, by God's hilarity, I learned that Alta Oakridge's Executive Director and I lived in the same room at Dallas Theological Seminary eight years apart!  One of his classmates in preaching class was my Senior Pastor when I was leading the college ministry in Dallas!

Move your cursor over the third pillar at the top of our web page.  "Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.  To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints."  Ephesians 6:18

God is mighty.  He hears us.  We might not understand how prayer works, but it does.  We must be obedient to ask.  Not just ask, but ask boldly believing in His mighty power.  Praying boldly purifies us because we can only pray according to what we know God desires: glory, a strong church, His excellent mercies proclaimed, and the lost saved.

Lord, we praise you for answered prayer!
