Everyone prays

Rarely do I receive an immediate answer from prayer.  Maybe my expectation of God in prayer is a little off?  Recently, I've noticed that God's main purpose with me through prayer is to keep my motivations pure.  BUT WAIT, this IS an immediate answer to prayer!  I've been trained to love big moments, adrenaline ... you know, things I can blog about that will bring, like, thousands to read this :) ... but it's the simple and sustaining things that God is most constantly doing through prayer.  At these things I should be smiling ... and I do ... INCREASINGLY ... and there is much more joy. 

Certainly, God answers big things, this is why we firmly believe in the POWER of prayer, but God's big things mostly are created over time as an accumulated big thing (character development, faith development, knowing Him well) rather than instantaneous "eurekas!".
